Jen Mitchell

Dr Jen Mitchell

Probe Lab Manager, University of Minnesota

Jen is an igneous petrologist whose research focuses on non-destructive analytical techniques to investigate meteorites - rocks that formed billions of years ago on asteroids and other planets - and what they can tell us about the early Solar System, as well as all things rock-related on Earth.

Her PhD focused on the formation and evolution of the asteroid Vesta, exploring the complexity of igneous processes in the early Solar System through a range of analytical techniques and geochemical modelling.
